VB Forums DB Project

I'd like to propose a project, one which I've already started, and to ensure everyone has clarity, let me outline what this project is about and the unilateral benefit of it..

Essentially I've created a DB that utilizes XML & String Collections to store data, though there are some draw backs to the DB, it is however EXTREMELY EASY TO USE!!!

The database only stores data, not files, it is only in the prototype stage, but could be expanded to be a fully functional DB.... (w/o file storage mind you)

The current benefit of the base DB I've created is as follows...

- Can record 50,000 DB Entries in 0.18 Seconds
- Can pull 20,000 DB Entries in 0.17 Seconds (Speed varies upon usage & size of data, also hardware used)
- Unlimited Size of DB (Goodbye 1 GB SQL Express?)
- Performance not affected by the size of the DB (It doesn't matter if there are 5 million entries or 50 entries, it still works the same!)

Anyway, to make the DB Real, I'd need some help, building classes, functions, subs to give the DB more functionality...
Also, it's currently only uses User Settings XML Document as a place to store the data... (This would have to change)

Anyway, if anyone is interested please post below, and though this will be an open project, it is something that will be copyright protected by those who are part of the project..
(Meaning if we end up designing something worth millions, we the contributors, will all get part of the money.)
Or...
We can all opt to make it a completely open source code... (That would have to be a unanimous decision though)
