Use a form as a button menu

I am trying to get the main menu for my application this way, except using a form in the place of an actual menu. Most importantly having it appear directly underneath the button I set obviously.

I'm sure there are other methods to do this this, but I'm choosing this way so I can have more flexibility and more UI. Basically, I just want a form to appear directly underneath the button. I've tried a couple different ways of doing this, and none of them have worked. I've tried the child form way of doing this (which was just strange in the first place), and also manually making the form launch from a specific pixel area. There's got to be an easier way to do this because nothings working for me. Anybody have any suggestions? Or ways to make this easier.
